Introduction

This privacy policy explains how GrabKit ("we", "us") handles your data in relation to the LinkedIn Bookmark Exporter Chrome browser extension ("the extension"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what the extension does and does not do with your data.

This policy applies only to the LinkedIn Bookmark Exporter extension and its associated website at grabkit.co/linkedin-bookmark-exporter. It does not apply to LinkedIn itself or any other third-party services.

Data We Do Not Collect

LinkedIn Bookmark Exporter does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your LinkedIn posts, bookmarks, saved content, or any LinkedIn data
• Your browsing history or activity
• Your LinkedIn username, password, or authentication credentials
• Analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry data
• Device fingerprints, IP addresses, or geolocation data

How the Extension Works

The extension operates entirely within your browser. It:

• Reads the content of your LinkedIn saved posts page — but only while you are logged in and actively viewing that page. This is equivalent to reading the page yourself.
• Converts the visible post data into your chosen export format (Markdown, CSV, or JSON).
• Downloads the exported file directly to your computer. The file never leaves your device.

No data is sent to any server controlled by GrabKit or any third party during this process.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The only data the extension stores is kept locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

• Your license key — to remember that you have purchased and activated the extension.
• Activation status — whether your license is currently valid.
• Activation metadata — a timestamp of when you activated and an internal Polar activation ID (used for device slot management).

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to GrabKit or any third party. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the extension.

Network Requests

The only external network request made by the extension is:

• License key validation — When you enter a license key, the extension sends the key to Polar.sh's validation endpoint (api.polar.sh) to verify it is a valid, active license. This request contains only your license key and the developer's Polar organization ID. No personal data, LinkedIn data, or browsing history is included in this request.

Third-Party Services

The extension interacts with the following third-party services:

• Polar.sh — Used solely for license key validation and activation. Polar.sh acts as our payment processor and license key distributor. See Polar.sh's Privacy Policy.
• LinkedIn — The extension reads data from the LinkedIn page your browser has already loaded. No data is sent to LinkedIn by the extension. See LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.

No Analytics or Tracking

LinkedIn Bookmark Exporter does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, telemetry, or usage reporting of any kind. We do not track how you use the extension, how many posts you export, or any other behavioral data.

Data Deletion

To delete all data stored by the extension, simply uninstall it from Chrome (chrome://extensions → Remove). This permanently and irreversibly deletes your license key and all activation data from your device.

Children's Privacy

LinkedIn Bookmark Exporter is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
